Board of Trustees: Applications Being Accepted
Our Board of Trustees is seeking applicants for a five-year term on the board. Interested parties need to submit a letter and resume to the Bridgeville Public Library by June 7, 2024. Applicants must be a resident of the Woodbridge School District, preferably within the Bridgeville post office service area. Meetings are normally held on the third Wednesday of the month at 9:30am, which are open to the public.

Bridgeville Hometown Hero Banner Project
Remember and Honor the latest Bridgeville Hometown Heroes on Friday, April 26th at 6pm at the Bridgeville Library. A short ceremony will be held at 6:30pm & refreshments will be served. Banners will be available to view in the library meeting room beginning Monday, April 22nd during library hours, if you are unable to attend the ceremony.

Chemistry of Space
The Bridgeville Library and volunteer Stephen Burman will have a Science Fair presentation on the “Chemistry of Space” on Friday, May 10th. The public is invited to attend from 3-5pm. The presentations include: Where did that rock come from? How old is that rock? What about all the unreachable ‘stuff’ in space? including volunteer Keith Lohmeyer and his telescopes. What color is the sun? and what colors are the stars?

Children's Programs
Join Ms. Hilary for Story Book Corner on Tuesdays (geared for ages 3-5) and on Wednesdays (for birth-2) both held at 10am at the library. For April, the theme is weather. Join us for a Children's Garden Tea Party with tea, crafts, and games to enjoy on Saturday, April 27th from 11am-1pm. You can “dress it up” or dress casual-the choice is yours. (Literacy Education Assistance Pups) is to improve the literacy skills of children and grow their enthusiasm for reading by using therapy dog teams as literacy mentors. A L.E.A.P. dog is motivating and FUN! We are so excited to have them back at the library. In May, they will be here on May 1st and May 15th.

Yoga classes with Bonnie Russell (Ananda Yoga) are back!! These classes will be held on Wednesdays at 6pm through May in the meeting room at the library. They are open to all ages and levels on a first-come, first-served basis. You must bring your own mat. CPR & Microsoft Office Classes
The Bridgeville Library is hosting one more CPR certification class on Saturday, April 27th at 2pm. A certified CPR American Heart Association instructor will be instructing these classes. The cost is $55 per participant to receive certification. Registration is required and class size is limited to 9 participants. Please call the library 302-337-7401 ext. 101 to sign up. We are also offering a Microsoft Office Training with our Tech Volunteer, Tony on Tuesday, April 30th at 3:30pm. He will guide you through the basics of Microsoft Office, focusing on Excel. This session is geared for a beginner/intermediate level. These sessions would be helpful for local businesses looking to improve their workplace skills. Registration is required.
